14 HVAC Trucks Serving Tillsonburg & Area

BR’s Plumbing & Heating Returns to Local Ownership Under Bart Rietveld, With 14 Service Trucks Serving Tillsonburg and Surrounding Counties

TILLSONBURG, ON | October 2026 – A familiar name in Southwestern Ontario’s plumbing and heating industry is entering a new chapter. BR’s Plumbing & Heating is once again under local ownership, with founder and longtime former owner Bart Rietveld back at the helm of the established Tillsonburg plumbing and HVAC business.

Founded in 1993, BR’s Plumbing & Heating has spent more than three decades serving homeowners, businesses, and agricultural operations throughout the region. The return to local ownership under Rietveld represents a continuation of the company’s longstanding community roots and its commitment to providing dependable plumbing, heating, and cooling services.

For longtime customers, Rietveld’s return brings a familiar face back into ownership of a business that has become a recognizable part of the Tillsonburg community.

14 Service Trucks Supporting Three Counties

One of the company’s notable strengths is its substantial local service capacity. With 14 service trucks on the road, BR’s Plumbing & Heating is equipped to handle a wide variety of residential, commercial, and agricultural service requirements throughout Oxford, Elgin, and Norfolk counties.

From Tillsonburg and nearby communities such as Norwich, Ingersoll, and Woodstock to Aylmer, Delhi, Simcoe, and surrounding rural areas, the company’s service fleet helps technicians reach customers across a broad portion of Southwestern Ontario.

BR’s provides plumbing repairs and installations, furnace and air conditioning service, boiler maintenance, heat pumps, drain cleaning, and other mechanical services. The company also offers emergency plumbing and heating assistance, an important consideration when unexpected breakdowns affect homes or businesses.

More information about the company’s history and services is available on the BR’s Plumbing & Heating About Us page.

October Is an Important Time for Furnace Maintenance

With cooler temperatures already arriving across Southwestern Ontario, BR’s Plumbing & Heating is also reminding area homeowners that October is an ideal time to arrange furnace maintenance before the demands of winter arrive.

Heating systems that have been sitting idle throughout the warmer months can develop problems that only become apparent when temperatures drop and furnaces begin running regularly.

A professional furnace inspection can help identify concerns involving ignition components, burners, blower motors, airflow, electrical connections, and safety controls. Addressing minor issues early can reduce the likelihood of an unexpected heating failure during the coldest months of the year.

Homeowners should also pay attention to warning signs such as unusual furnace noises, inconsistent room temperatures, weak airflow, frequent cycling, or unexpectedly high heating costs.

While emergency repairs are sometimes unavoidable, scheduling preventive maintenance now gives homeowners an opportunity to address potential problems before their heating system is needed around the clock.

BR’s offers furnace diagnostics, repairs, seasonal maintenance, and high-efficiency furnace installation. Homeowners can learn more about these services through the company’s dedicated furnace repair and maintenance page.

Continuing a Longstanding Local Tradition

The return of Bart Rietveld to local ownership comes at a time when dependable trades and mechanical services remain essential to both residential and commercial properties throughout the region.

With more than 30 years of company history, an established team of licensed tradespeople, and 14 service vehicles supporting its regional operations, BR’s Plumbing & Heating is positioned to continue serving the communities that have supported the business for decades.

For residents of Tillsonburg and the surrounding Oxford, Elgin, and Norfolk County communities, the message is straightforward: BR’s Plumbing & Heating is back under familiar local ownership and continues to provide the plumbing, heating, and cooling services customers have relied upon for years.
